To everyone who has been a regular visitor to this space, I want to thank you for your loyalty and your curiosity in thinking I might actually have something to say that you would want to read. I’ll be taking some time off for a few weeks, but don’t fret. I should return sometime around Valentine’s Day.
In the meantime, why not check out some of my past musings. Some of the movie reviews are pretty good, if I do say so myself, as are some of the reviews of the great noir novels of the past. You can start with my review of Tom Piccirilli’s Every Shallow Cut or maybe here, with my all-time Top 11 Pre-1970 Film Noir list. You like Gil Brewer? Try my review of The Brat. In the mood for something a little out of the ordinary. Take a look at my review of the Criterion DVD package of The Friends Of Eddie Coyle.
One of the most unusual posts I did was a list of the 50 states and the District of Columbia and the best movie associated with each state.
And there are, as they say, many, many more.
Yes, there are untold pleasures awaiting you deep in the archives of this site. Certainly enough to keep you occupied till I return.
And by the way, my new novel, The Downtown Deal, which is the latest gripping installment in my Jack Barnett / Las Vegas Series, will be coming out in just a very few months.
See you soon!
